What is Relay For Life?
Relay For Life is a life-changing fundraising event that brings communities together to celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against cancer. Teams of people camp out overnight and take turns walking or running around a track or path, because cancer never sleeps.
The Rossendale event takes place at Marl Pits, bringing together hundreds of participants for 24 hours of hope, remembrance, and determination.
The Relay Experience
Opening Ceremony
Survivors take the first lap around the track, celebrating their victory over cancer while the community cheers them on.
Luminaria Ceremony
As darkness falls, we light luminaria bags to honor those lost to cancer and support those still fighting.
Overnight Relay
Teams keep at least one member on the track at all times throughout the night, symbolizing that cancer never sleeps.
Fight Back Ceremony
We commit to taking action against cancer through fundraising, awareness, and supporting research.
Why Relay For Life Matters
Every pound raised at Relay For Life goes directly to Cancer Research UK to fund life-saving research. Together, we're working towards a world where everyone can survive cancer.
